THAC 6: Update 08
I'm finished. 'nuff said.
Sorry about lack of updates, but I wouldn't have finished otherwise.

THAC 6: Update 07
Ok, so I haven't been keeping up with this blog. I've been animating for the last hour or so, and I have a whole 2 seconds completed, and I'm going to start on a sequence after the battery for the D40x gets charged again. I've got all my sets done, all my audio recorded and everything should be done on time. I had to record the lines for Eric by myself because NOstudios never sent me them. I realized that I didn't have the lines when it came time to start animating his dialogue with Darryl. I just bought QuickTime Pro and it works like a charm. I'm loving the beautiful HD video.
THAC 6: Update 07
Still waiting... Was that an entire hour already? It must have been since I'm doing hourly updates. I wasted half of that last hour on the phone, then I rocked out to AC/DC for a while. NOstudios, if you're reading this, hurry up with the lines! I'm also waiting for my dad for some help with the camera.
THAC 6: Update 06
I have my first shot completely set up and I'm just waiting for my parents to get home... and for NOstudios to finish recording his lines (hint hint). My set is very unstable except for the parts where action occurs. Shooting will begin soon!
THAC 6: Update 05
I've been setting up my set and camera. Things are looking good. Shooting won't take long, but I'm guessing post production will be a pain in the butt. My family is out for lunch, and when they get back I'll start shooting.
THAC 6: Update 04
I made some progress in the last hour. I got the Nikon Capture software trial downloaded and setup, and I started on a set. Hopefully I will make this work!
THAC 6: Update 03
I didn't get much done in the past hour. Three out of four of my voice actors have sent me their lines, so I guess that's progress, but other than that, I've done nothing. I want to start animating by 1:00PM.
THAC 6: Update 02
I'm going to be doing these updates periodically every hour on the hour. My first half hour of THAC has gone surprisingly well. I though up an idea almost instantly after I saw the theme, and I have a very good (in my opinion) script written up. Right now I'm going to post the casting call on Bricks in Motion, then I'm going to go get some breakfast and begin building sets.
THAC 6: Update 01
THAC 6 started about 3.5 hours ago, and I woke up about 15 minutes ago. Yikes. Well, despite missing 3 hours of the contest and severely limiting what I can do with my time, I've still got an idea, and I'm still determined to enter. I took a 7 minute shower and shoved all the stuff off my desk so I'd have space to animate.
A few of the things that will be challenging about this THAC for me are:
* I will be using my dad's Nikon D40x which I have only animated 2 seconds with.
* I don't have a remote capture device handy at the moment. I think I can handle it if I'm careful though.
* I don't have QuickTime Pro or any other frame assembling program available (yet) but I will be purchasing QuickTime Pro at some point in the process of making the film.
